About Cascadian Resource Center

Dear Friends & Members,

Along with many visionaries spanning four decades I have worked diligently to create a local, regional and global resource center platform to facilitate the conscious emergence of an enlightened planetary culture.

After many starts and stops over the years, finally the technology, resources and team are organized to accomplish such a grandiose vision. With several powerful web platforms integrated together, the capacity to communicate, network and manage information about people, projects, programs, media, organizations and businesses exists like never before.

With a vast network of resource people worldwide already on the path towards raising consciousness, the time is now to combine Internet technology with the people who are capable of making a difference and doing/being the greatest good.

For our initial launch ICR is launching three resources centers with many more to be organized nationally, regionally and locally.

Resource Centers:

For our initial launch ICR’s “Cascadian Resource Center” social media network has invited you and nine-hundred and ninety-nine other key people, organizations and businesses in the local community to become founding members, contribute blogs, photos, music and videos, and submit your local event calendar listing absolutely free.

Share your favorite resources, information, books, seminars with a small, but growing community of friends. Invite your network to become members and participate in resource groups and discussions.

When there is sufficient critical mass and an ORGANIZER appears for a Local or Regional Resource Center then we'll assist you in starting your own branch of the network!

Regional Resource Directory:

Our local, regional or global resource center is simple, elegant and easy to use even if you do not have computer skills. If you're willing to take 30 minutes and learn, you'll have years of enjoyment and be able to network with some of the most dynamic and interesting people on the planet. FAQ's & Tutorial

Respectfully yours,

"Blue Moon" to Shine on New Year's Eve | National Geographic

A blue moon isn't actually blue—as commonly defined, the name reflects the relative rarity of two full moons in a month and is linked to the saying "once in a blue moon."

With this New Year's Eve blue moon, "there is nothing scientific about it, and it has no astronomical significance," said Mark Hammergren, a staff astronomer at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, Illinois.

"But I believe it does give us some insight into history and makes us think of how our calendar system has derived from motions of objects in the sky."

Thank God for Evolution by Michael Dowd | Plume Paperback

What follows is the new preface...

As we observe the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin and the 150th anniversary of his landmark book, On the Origin of Species, evolution has become firmly established as the central organizing principle of the biological sciences. Natural explanations for the growth of complexity through time ground all the other sciences, as well, from cosmology and chemistry to neuroscience and psychology. That everything within this universe has emerged through natural processes operating over vast spans of time is now well beyond dispute among scientists and the educated public. Yet even today, families and public school systems remain divided and the evolutionary worldview is still shunned by millions, perhaps billions, of religious believers around the world. Why?
